Usage Rights & Licensing

All images displayed on this website are the original work of Patrick Stewart Photography and are protected under U.S. copyright law. Copyright in all photographs remains with Patrick Stewart Photography unless a written transfer of rights has been signed.

No image on this site may be downloaded, reproduced, printed, distributed, or used in any form — digital or physical, commercial or personal — without prior written permission. This includes screenshots, social media reposts, and AI training or scraping of any kind.

Requests to license or purchase usage rights to any image may be sent to pstew2photo@gmail.com.

Client Image Rights

Clients who purchase a session (portrait, wedding, or event) receive personal-use printing and digital sharing rights to their delivered images. Patrick Stewart Photography retains copyright and the right to use session images for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes, including on this website and social media, unless a client has requested otherwise in writing.

Clients who would like their images excluded from portfolio or marketing use may request this in writing at the time of booking or delivery, and Patrick Stewart Photography will honor that request.

Model Releases

For portrait and wedding clients: a model release is signed as part of the booking process, granting Patrick Stewart Photography permission to use resulting images for portfolio and promotional purposes.

By booking a session, the client acknowledges that the purpose of the creation of the photographic works includes the right of the photographer to:

• enter the photographic works into photographic competitions or awards, and use them in materials published in connection with promoting same; and
• submit the photographic works for display at art galleries or other premises.

This right does not extend to selling or licensing the images to a third party outside the photographer's own business, and clients may request in writing that specific images be excluded from portfolio, competition, or promotional use, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Print & Reproduction

Unauthorized printing, scanning, or commercial reproduction of any image on this site is a violation of copyright and may result in legal action.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
